A Walk in the Park

After a very LONG and exhausting week, the program finally came to an end. Once everyone made their exit from the banquet, Jim, Carrie, Alyssa and I sat at the bar and toasted the end. It's such a good feeling to know it's over. Then Jim and I decided to take a walk around the Cherry Creek area up to a park he had discovered earlier in the week on one of his jogs. It was absolutely gorgeous - the weather was perfect, the humidity low and the lilacs and all the other flowers were in full bloom. I, unfortunately, didn't bring sneakers to Denver, so I did the approx. 5 miles in my flip flops. I had HUGE blisters on each feet.

Up at the park is this great...whatever it is...with a spectacular view of the mountains behind it.

This was a cute little old man we saw on what I'm assuming is a daily walk for him.

This flowering vine is called Clamatis...I'm not sure of the spelling. It was ironic. Jim and I noticed it and commented on it and then the next morning on the local news they had a garden guy talking about it. Small world, eh?

Everybody dance...

This was a "little" garden gate that led to one of the largest mansions I've about ever seen.
