This is a wonderful little vase my friend Susan brought back with her on one of her many trips to France. I love that antique feel it - it gives it so much character. And I love Susan's eye for detail in what she does with the things she discovers. She and I often share tastes. I have numerous pictures of the blending textures and dancing colors of her and Jim's home.
I couldn't decide which pictures I like better, so I decided it was okay for me to post both. These are from Jim and Susan's front yard. I have no idea which kind of flowers they are, though they look similar to orchids to me, or irises. I like even better the fact that I don't know.
This is the "blossom" of the banana tree that bends over into their backyard.
