It's PUMPKIN Time!

So I stole my brother-in-law's idea for a pumpkin and added a little of my own flair. That's mine on the left with one eye. My friends Jim and Susan had a last minute idea to throw a pumpkin carving party last night for Halloween and many of the same people over that they did two years ago. It was a lot of fun and a great way to spend the evening. That's Susan's pumpkin on the right with a little bit of drool coming out of his mouth.

J&S know how to throw a party and really got into the decorating...especially for having just decided on Wednesday that they were even going to have the party at all. This was their front door.

This is a grotesque hand puppet that got a lot of usage later in the night as the drinks and M&Ms flowed. For the moment, it's inside "Charlotte" the dress form. At Christmas "Charlotte" is dressed in beads and ornaments.

This is the beginnings of my contribution to the evening....Guacamole! I just really liked the color and texture combinations of this shot.

A cute ornament hanging from some decorative sticks on the bar.

A group shot with the last two people working away on their pumpkins. Everyone else had finished theirs and they were already on display on the front balcony for all to see.

And the finished products as viewed from the street. Several cars slowed down to look as they drove down the street.
