Seth-ador Dali

I woke up one morning after the little boys spent the night to find these clay creations sitting on the kitchen counter where their cereal bowls had been previously. Though the artist never came back around to explain his work, we adults took some stabs at interpretation. That's Roxy there above. Can't tell if she's in pain, or happy or both. Either way we thought she was wonderful.

We believe these next two are snowboarders. Seth has never been snow boarding. He's not even allowed to skateboard yet. But nonetheless, the wild, unbridled genious of this five year old sculptor came shining through.

Later in the day I met my good friend Lee Swanson for lunch. He works at the Samaritan Center in ABQ. I met he and his wife Dawn back in 2000 here in Houston. He was in grad school for counseling also when the three of us met a group therapy experience. A year later he and Dawn moved to Santa Fe and he began doing his residency there in ABQ. We've stayed in touch over the years and just about everytime I go home, we get together for lunch. It's a fun connection knowing we both work for Samaritan centers and we spend many hours comparing cases and clients - no names of course! :-)

It was this meeting with Lee that convinced me that I needed to live differently this next year....I ripped the seat of my pants trying to get into his car. Ripped the seam clear out! Good thing it was a moderate temperature that day. I took off my sweatshirt and wore it around my waist.

On to another feasting opportunity! Later that night we had "adult night". Melinda left the boys at home with Bradley and only the five of us went out to eat.
