March is a beautiful month to be in Houston, the tulip trees have just finished blooming and all the wildflowers are starting. I live right next to Memorial Park, just inside The Loop, a park that in acreage is actually larger than Central Park in New York. Beginning in February Parks & Rec. quits mowing large swaths of grass in preparation for the flowers arrival. We're known in Texas for our bluebonnets, but there are dozens of other wildflowers worthy of comendation - I , unfortunately and shamefully, don't know them :-)
