Street Art

Saturday afternoon, Mike, Pam, Tim and I went to a fundraiser downtown for The Center for Hearing and Speech. Artists could pay for either a 3X3 square or an 8X8 square to do what they'd like in chalk. (Well, we found out it wasn't actually chalk, it was pastels.) Then the public could "vote" for their favorites by putting money in little buckets in front of each piece. It was an absolutely perfect day for it, partly cloudy, mid-70s and a nice breeze. The crowd was good, well behaved and the art was impressive. I was particularly impressed with this one, "Starry Night". As you can see, most of the art was a work in progress. Thanks to Pam and Tim for taking pictures for me, since I didn't have my camera with me.

Pam loves to wear her pink Converse proudly around town, so she absolutley LOVED this artist's choice!

She and the artist hit it off and Pam just had to take a pic of all the pink chalk in her hair.

This one's for you Kutners!! :-)
