Time Change

See that little line towards the top of the table that looks like dust? That's pollen. Tons of tree pollen. But allergens or no, it was such a gorgeous morning that I just had to sit outside on the Kutner's patio to drink my coffee and read the Sunday paper. And yes, that means I did not go to chruch - it was time change and I was tired ;-)

One of Sophie's favorite things to do is sit outside with her ball and play her usual game of dropping it in the pool and waiting for it to float back towards the edge...and then drop it again. This was my view of the backyard. Both the turtle doves and mockingbirds were singing, sounds that remind me of countless hours spent at my grandmother's pool in Phoenix.

I wish the ripples had been more pronounced in this photo. There was something hypnotic about watching the vibrations made by the ever-roaming pool vacuum.

Is this not the picutre of happiness? We were both quite content with our early Sunday afternoon. Not too long after, Mike and Pam came over for a late-lunch, early dinner barbeque. For having lost an hour this day, we sure squeezed out a lot of life!
