Yup. Another dinner at the Kutners. Another Sunday night stuffing my face, laughing my butt off and enjoying the company of others. It's such a nice way to wrap up the all-too-short weekend and head into another work week, having already spent a fair portion of it at work already. Tonight's dinner was no exception to the rule: Marc's dad's famous grilled chicken, homemade challa bread, roasted asparagus and pictured above, homemade applesauce.
While making the applesauce, Pam nicked her finger. Lindsay was kind enough to get her a kickin' Batman Band-Aid.
And here's Marc doing what Marc does best: grilling. I'm housesitting for them when they go away on Spring Break in a few weeks and I'll be doing quite a bit of this myself :-)
While Marc was grilling, Lindsay was weeding. And yes, this thistle was busy growing in the rain gutter.
The azaleas have begun to bloom around town - a Houston surity that spring is on it's way.
Pam is busy growing lots of herbs and veggies and other plants in her garden, but this is one of my favorites: a lemon blossom from one of her lemon trees. The smell is intoxicating.
The neighbors plant likes Marc and Pam's backyard as much as I do and has worked it's way through a crack in the fence to try to get itself invited to dinner as well.
I liked the look of these seed packs that Marc is getting ready to plant. He's only got a few more days before he misses the "planting window".
And here's the Motley Crew sitting on the couch watching the beginning of the Oscars.
While sitting at a red light at an underpass after exiting the freeway, I saw some familiar handiwork: "Never Give Up". When I started this blog almost a year ago, one of my first posts was a much bigger version painted on a wooden fence. The artist is at it again.
