WAY back in May when I was apparently still blogging, an old high school friend and her husband came to Houston to see me! Well, okay, not EXACTLY to see me, but they did call ahead of their business trip and say that they wanted to get together for dinner. I was thrilled! It was so great to have a friend come in from out of town :-)
Marlie and I both went to Hope High School back in the day, though she was one class behind me. But Hope was so freaking small, we might as well have been in the same class - there were only 37 people in my graduating class - so the whole school basically knew each other. Marlie and Rob have known each other forever, and as I told him that night, I've always just sorta felt like he went to school with us, too. It was his work with Faith Comes By Hearing that brought them to Houston, and thereby to dinner with me! We had a great night at The Cheesecake Factory and just catching up on the last 20 years. Thanks, guys, for coming to Houston and for a great time!!
