A Story

I'll try to make it brief. There is a woman in my Dave Ramsey class that was talking about a store she owns in my part of town (our class is on the far west side, a 20 min drive). I know the store and know that my good friend Lee's brother used to work there. I ask her if she knows the brother (Jay) and turns out he still works there and they're really good friends. I say I'm really good friends with Lee and wow, what a really small world. Wait it gets better. The next day I meet Tim at Starbucks and am telling him the story of this small world encounter - that in a city of 5+ million people, I'm only two degrees of separation from this woman in my class. Literally, as I'm telling the story, up pulls this car. I text Lee in Santa Fe and ask him if his brother Jay drives a convertible GTO and send him this photo. Lee responds that yes, that IS his brother's car! Wild. At the exact moment I'm talking about him, Jay drives up. And now what's even a little weirder... I was going over some recent posts and there's a pic of a guy showing a couple his convertible GTO...and it's Jay. (insert twilight music here.) No twilight-ness here, but I did really like the lights in this little restaurant I met my friend Jessica at one morning when I didn't have to be at work till 2pm. It's in an old converted textile mill in a historic part of Houston called The Heights. I just really liked the vibe and decore of this place. And as seems to be my new form of entertainment, I sat and talked while watching her eat :-) Darn you, Dave Ramsey!!!
