I have intended and meant to and wanted to stop and photograph many of the pieces of graffiti I see as I toodle around town. Tim got shots of several of them this past week and was kind enough to share his photos with me.
Remember Q-bert? The video game? Well this litte tile guy was on the utility boxes outside Catalina Coffee. I think it's probably by the same artist who did the tile Pac-Man ghosts, if you remember that post several months back...
I have no idea what this graffiti is supposed to represent. I have a sneaking suspician it's for some local band as it shows up several places around town and is always the same. But, it's still a cool concept.
I can almost 100% guarantee that "Coolidge" is a band. This is one of the first two-tone graffiti pieces I've seen. They seem to have an animal theme going over the past year or more at various spots around town. I've seen giraffes, turtles, elephants, and my personal favorite, a T-Rex.
