The Cemetary

One grey Thursday I only had clients in the late afternoon, so I decided to spend the morning running errands and generally tootling around town. Yes, tootling, and I tootled right over to what I think is the most beautiful cemetary in town, perhaps in the country. As I was driving around snapping shots, I was wonderfully surprised to see the tulip trees finally blooming! Because we had such a cold winter, they didnt bloom at the end of January like they normally do. So of course I hopped out of the car and got my annual obligatory pictures of them. This year, however, I was pleased to notice the downtown skyline in the background.

I couldn't decide which picture I liked best, the vertical or the horizontal, so I included them both. :-)

I really got a kick out of this family name: Dormant. HA! Ya think!?

I don't know what kind of tree this one is, but it's blossoms almost look like carnations. It wasa in the same family plot as the tulip tree, on in each corner. Someone in that family liked really pretty trees. And no, I did not arrange those dropped blooms... that's exactly how they fell.
