Breakfast with the Boys

I was so looking forward to this morning. We had a heck of a time planning a time and place, but we finally made it happen, here, at Dharma Cafe on this gorgeous Sunday morning. It's not very often we're able to get all four of us together, but when we do, it tends to be a great time of laughing, introspection and challenging one another on our crap. Today was no exception.

I've never seen this plant before...not quite sure what it is. It was planted just outside the door of the cafe.

I loved the feel and vibe of the place. None of us had ever been here before, but they had a great buffett and we all agreed it's a place we would love to go back.

We had a great waitress who offered to take our picture...but more importantly she offered to bring us free mimosas!

After about two hours we felt guilty taking up a table as the cafe got busier and busier so we packed it up and went to continue our time at a nearby park. It was a little cool for my tastes, but enjoyable nonetheless. We spent another two hours talking about each other's issues before finally heading back "to the real world". I love these guys. I'm so thankful the Lord has brought them into my life.

And finally, a circle of trees. My grandmother told me on a roadtrip once that a circle of trees meant that a fairy had been there. I haven't seen one since I was 12 years old with her. This circle was in the park where we were.

There's a circle of HUGE pine trees up in the Jemez by the creek. My grandmother and grandfather used to like to go there and lay in the grass in the center of the circle and look up. Sometimes I do that, too . . . didn't know there were fairies there first! :)
