Last night was a great night. I needed it. Marc's wife and daughters were out of town so we decended on his house like a pack of cultured cavemen. Every few months we're able to pull ourselves out of our schedules and routines and have some guy time.
The four of us - Jim, Marc, Rick and me.
Our dinner! It was delicious and Marc grilled it to perfection. The wine was flowing and soon the conversation took the inevitable turn to life updates and accountability. At moments it was heated, but it was always from a place of care and concern and encouraging each other to grow. Nothing says a true friend like one who calls you on your crap.
After Rick's "grilling", we all turned our focus to Marc - and for the three of them, to Scotch. I don't do Scotch.
Sophie was the only female allowed in the circle.
The Kutner home is an Obama-home and I found these sitting on the counter. While I can't agree with their candidate, I did find these mints very clever "Peppermints We Can Believe In". And despite what I think of the man, I do like the graphics of his Hope campaign. He's got some slick advertising.
